Karen graduated with B.A in Criminology and
English Literature from Bar-Ilan University, Israel in 1997. In 1999
she obtained the MSc in Investigative Psychology at the University of
Liverpool. Her research focuses on the relationship between the ways
offenders perceive their environment and their offence location choice.
Burglars, robbers and thieves are asked to draw sketch maps of their
home area and indicate their crime locations, and to draw the route
they took to a crime scene and back. The information gathered might
help explain the strategic choices offenders make in selecting a crime
site location.
