I'm a police officer / probation officer / prison officer. Will it be difficult for me to gain access to the course if I have had little recent academic training?

For Police Officers or others associated with the legal process 'A' level, or, better still, an Open University degree that includes plenty of psychology and research methodology, is very valuable. However, if you have had little recent exposure to academia or research methods training - our introductory statistics class will assist you, there are many computer packages and useful texts that can assist and with applied effort throughout the year, students become research competent throughout the course. Practitioners have often proved to be very key figures throughout the course, lending their experience to proceedings and making clear the pragmatic issues placed on police investigations.
