How does the IP Course compare to other forensic courses?

We would strongly urge you to examine all the other MSc forensic courses that are now available to you. They do tend to have different emphases and different students interest will be accommodated by some course more than others. Many forensic courses concentrate more on clinical forensic issues - such as risk assessment of offenders, rehabilitation, working in special hospitals, diagnoses of offenders, psychiatric problems etc. Ours is the only course that provides an education exclusively in the psychological processes relevant to criminal investigation. With an eye to developing broader skills in applied problem solving. Different courses no doubt have different strengths and weaknesses and it will be useful for you to complete a full intelligence gathering process on all the opportunities available to you so that you select the right course. You should try and clarify these issues with all relevant course Directors.
