Liverpool Liverpool is one of the world's most famous cities. Evidence of the region's new-found confidence can be seen in the new hotels being built around the area. Why not visit the city and stay in one of the 9 new hotels built in recent years. The sporting and cultural reputation of the region is second to none. Two Premiership football clubs - Liverpool and Everton, complemented by Wirral-based Tranmere Rovers. Each year, Aintree is host to the famous Grand National, now an Annual Festival, not to mention golf, with more courses in Merseyside of championship status than any other part of England.
