Liverpool

Liverpool is one of the world's most famous cities. Evidence of the region's new-found confidence can be seen in the new hotels being built around the area. Why not visit the city and stay in one of the 9 new hotels built in recent years.

The sporting and cultural reputation of the region is second to none. Two Premiership football clubs - Liverpool and Everton, complemented by Wirral-based Tranmere Rovers.

Each year, Aintree is host to the famous Grand National, now an Annual Festival, not to mention golf, with more courses in Merseyside of championship status than any other part of England.

There are 32 museums and galleries on Merseyside, no wonder Liverpool is bidding to become European Capital of Culture in 2008.

Not to mention the Beatles, the world famous Cavern, visit The Beatle Story in the Albert Dock. The Albert Dock is the top attraction in Liverpool, with 4.5 million visitors.
