Overview

The Centre for Investigative Psychology at the University of Liverpool, with the support of the Safer Merseyside Partnership, will host a one-day conference exploring the range of concerns and issues surrounding street prostitution.

The Conference will provide a forum for the presentation of the current research, from the UK and overseas, on street sex workers, as well as an opportunity to discuss the strategic and policy issues that the many different professional groups and policy workers are tackling with in this area.

The aim is to provide insights into the:

  • Needs and challenges that street workers face such as drug addiction, sexual health, poverty, sexual and physical abuse etc
  • Strategies and policies that have been employed or are proposed to aggravate or reduce these.

The conference is relevant and valuable to:

  • Practitioners as well as academics and researchers
  • Several disciplines and professions beyond Investigative Psychology
